About the event

The SEE 2030 Strategy as a regional attempt for the SDGs implementation in SEE is designed as a joint call for action to leave no one behind in the Region. Its objective to reach regionally sustainable economic growth to be implemented through reducing poverty and inequality, empowering women, improving social inclusion, decelerating depopulation through enhancing the quality of life, and accelerating green and digital transitions offers an actionable trajectory for the thirteen economies of SEECP.

SEE2030, built upon national-level strategies of SEE 13 through a bottom-up approach, provides the Region with a unique opportunity to cooperate regionally, based on their common challenges towards sustainable economic growth in the post-pandemic era. This session presented the collective efforts of Southeast Europe in developing and implementing SEE2030 together with the representatives of SEECP. Turkey as the previous SEECP Chair in Office, Greece as the current Chair in Office, and Montenegro as the next Chair in Office of SEECP were invited to join RCC Secretariat in presenting this important regional initiative as a joint regional call for solidarity. For each respective Chair in Office, we consider presenting how SEECP Chairs in Office foresee the correlation between their chairmanship programmes with the SDGs and Agenda 2030 and with SE2030 significantly relevant to the main theme of this year's Regional Platform. The representatives of Serbia were also invited to share their understanding of SDGs implementation at the regional and national level and how to synergize with one another.
