Enhancing nature conservation with ESD expertise: towards a transdisciplinary approach in the Carpathian region, integrating quality education and sustainable development governance

The workshop introduced processes within the Carpathian Convention, contributing to the post-Covid Process of the UNECE Strategy for ESD 2021–2030: quality education; whole institution approach: communities of transformational learning; digitalisation and ESD; entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and ESD. The Convention’s approach integrating learning and sustainable development via establishing an ESD Expert Network was presented. Participants were invited to reflect on the potential of the Network to support the UNECE Strategy implementation in the Carpathian region, linked to the four strands above. The workshop was led by Tamara Mitrofanenko and Mónika Réti. Topics were linked to SDGs 4,5,14,15, 17.
