Regional Forum 2017
The first session of the regional forum was held on 25 April 2017 and was chaired by Laurence Monnoyer-Smith, Commissioner General for Sustainable Development and Interministerial Delegate for Sustainable Development for the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Seas of France. The event contributed to a regional follow-up through a discussion of reviews in UNECE Sectoral Committees as well as reviews and inputs from regional UN systems, regional and international organizations, civil society and other stakeholders.

ALL ABOUT THE EVENT
The Regional Forum included two segments:
- A policy segment, allowing to take stock of the second year of the SDGs - knowing where we stand and moving on to prosperity and well-being for all.
- A peer learning segment composed of three parallel round tables on the topics of National and local adaptation of SDGs, Subregional cooperation for SDG implementation as well as Data and monitoring.
The 2017 Regional Forum was preceded by two meetings on 24 April: a preparatory civil society consultation and a regional preparatory workshop for the countries from the UNECE region conducting Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) at the 2017 High-Level Political Forum.
