About the event
The post-pandemic economic recovery can be an accelerator of the circular economy transition and the SDG 12 implementation. The institutional preconditions for an effective circular framework require strong governance that incentivises sustainable resource use rather than create economic obstacles.
A successful CE-transition can only be achieved through extensive collaboration and communication between every administrative level, across all ministries, from municipal to national. These cooperative efforts are at the centre of SDG 17. Key circularity partners and UNECE member States shared best practices and discussed administrative requirements for circular policymaking under the two CE-projects of UNECE’s ECT Division.
