About the event

The Issue Based Coalition for Large Movements of People, Displacement and Resilience (IBC LMPDR), bringing together 14 UN entities, namely FAO, ILO, IOM, OHCHR, UNDP, UN Habitat, UNHCR, UN Women, UNEP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNODC, WFP and WHO, together with the support of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP), will showcase positive practices, lesson learned and results of monitoring reports regarding efforts to ensure a resilient response and recovery to the COVID-19 pandemic that is inclusive of refugees and migrants.

Initiatives include bolstering frontline testing and healthcare to vulnerable groups; improving access to essential services for marginalised groups; and mitigating the socio-economic impact of the pandemic to help build sustainable livelihoods. Throughout, the emphasis will be on the long-term benefits of a migrant- and refugee-inclusive approach for accomplishing states’ Sustainable Development Goals.
