Regional Forum 2025
The 2025 RFSD will convene in Geneva on 2-3 April 2025, under the theme: “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its SDGs in the ECE region, leaving no one behind.” It will bring together governments and a range of other stakeholders to identify and scale up actions and solutions for accelerating SDG progress, which is lagging behind.

The forum is aligned with the 2025 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) and will review SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 14 (Life Below Water), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The event will feature:
• A High-level Policy Segment with a focus on science- and evidence-based and inclusive policy solutions.
• Peer learning round tables covering the SDGs under review.
• A forward-looking plenary under the theme "Towards an Inclusive, Prosperous and Sustainable Future," integrating regional perspectives to global processes and summits.
What is the process?
Each year, the RFSD serves as the region’s official input to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the UN’s main platform for global follow-up on the 2030 Agenda. The report from the 2025 RFSD will document regional progress, challenges, and policy recommendations, contributing to the HLPF’s overarching review of SDG progress worldwide.
How can you get engaged?
The 2025 Regional Forum will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva in person (no remote connections) and will provide an opportunity to network on sustainable development issues. More detailed information on registration and logistics will be made available in due course.
