Side Event: Progress on SDGs under Review: Civil Society Perspectives from the EECCA Region
At this event, civil society representatives will present overall SDG implementation report of Belarusian civil society prepared as parallel report to the VNR in 2022 and spotlight reports on SDG11 and SDG6 from Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Azerbaijan with recommendations for how to proceed with progress in the coming years to ensure that the 2030 Agenda is implemented at the national level.
Belarusian civil society representatives also will share best practices implemented during 2022 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on advocacy actions that can be applied by relevant stakeholders.
Background
At the approach to the middle of the period of SDG implementation, it is necessary to critically assess the SDG progress in the UNECE region. Civil society reports play a key role in providing information that can be missed by other stakeholders.
