Climate Change and Migration in the UNECE Region: A Virtual discussion with stakeholders and partners

About the event
Climate change impacts lives and livelihoods across the region. The European Green Deal (EGD) - part of the EU’s strategy to advance the 2030 Agenda and build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic - reaches beyond the EU impacting its neighbors. Integrated policies that consider migration, environment, climate change (MECC) can accelerate SDGs advancement, however, this perspective is lacking in many regional/national climate change policies.
With this regards IOM facilitated a dialogue to foster an exchange of good practices, including from the Global South, on how integrated policies on MECC nexus can further UNECE achievement of the SDGs and strengthen COVID-19 recovery.
