Side Event: Leave nothing behind: tackling our multiple crises by centering nature and people in decision-making

Centering people in decision-making on the Green and Just Transition is pivotal for building sustainable and resilient solutions and democracies. This event focused on innovative aspects for inclusive participation, in times of artificial intelligence, conflict, climate change, and the ascent of right-wing populism. Building on evidence from REAL DEAL, an EU research project consisting of civil society organisations and academia working around the European Green Deal. Inviting civil society, Academia, Intergovernmental Agencies and Member States to engage in a cross-regional dialogue on deliberative democracies that leaves no species behind.
