Side Event: Partnerships for solidarity in times of crisis
The side event explored emerging partnerships to identify new ways to collaborate between different communities. It aimed to a) shine a light on major challenges that communities across the region are facing; b) share practical approaches and new tools that can help to define solutions and enable stronger partnership to tackle the challenges that have been highlighted. One key tool that was showcased is called ‘Zovu’, it aims to establish a clear way to provide support to community groups on sustainability.
Background
Civil society organisations are at the heart of strong partnerships to address the multi-faceted impacts of the current crises including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and war in Ukraine. This side event explored innovative partnerships and case studies of effective engagement to deliver the promise of the 2030 Agenda.
