Women and COVID-19: issues and solutions of gender equality in ECE region (in Russian and English)
This side event highlighted the emerging issues of women during the pandemic in our region, as well as ways to solve these problems so that the subsequent recovery period will give a new impetus to achieving gender equality in our region. Representatives of Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other countries took part in the discussion.
About the event
The role of women during the covid pandemic in our region cannot be underestimated. It is women who have been at the forefront of this crisis, providing services to the sick, supporting their families during full-time work, and facing a huge number of cases of domestic violence. That is why at this event we discussed the emerging issues of women during the pandemic in our region, as well as ways to solve these problems so that the subsequent recovery period will give a new impetus to achieving gender equality in our region. Representatives of Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other countries took part in the discussion.
